Doctors surgeries and nurses clinics take place throughout the day and are by appointment only. These can be made in person, by telephone after 08:00, or online via the above link. We will do our best to offer an appointment with a doctor within 48 hours.
This may not be with the doctor of your choice. Some of our GP's work part-time thus you may find it easier to get an appointment if you are flexible in requesting any doctor and any time.
All appointments are Pre-bookable up to six weeks in advance. However we reserve a number of 'Emergency' appointments for patients who need to see a doctor that day.
We have early morning (0720 - 0800 hrs) and late evening (1830-1930 hrs) appointments each Monday. Where the Surgery is closed on the Monday, due to a bank holiday, these appointment sessions will move to the next working day.
Appointments with the doctor are generally made for 10 minutes. If you feel you may need longer than 10 minutes please advise the receptionist when making your appointment. Please also remember to make a separate appointment for each person that needs to be seen.
Please note that any appointments for blood tests will be arranged no later than 1400 hrs (Monday to Friday only) due to the pathology courier collection times.
Kate Buckley is our Clinical Practitioner and we would strongly encourage you to consult with her for the following conditions:
Minor Illness, cold, flu, diarrhoea and vomiting, skin problems, throat problems, muscular skeletal problems, eye problems, Gynaecological problems, urinary tract infections, headaches and infections.
Kate can prescribe and you may find it more convenient to see Kate than one of the doctors.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.
A doctor is usually available to provide advice over the telephone. It may be necessary to leave your telephone number in order that the doctor can return your call.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
