On the 12 June 2013, we will be upgrading our clinical computer system to a new system called EMIS Web.

The change will entail a great deal of preparatory work by our doctors, nurses and administrative staff which will include training in the use of the new system.

From the 12 June we will be extending the amount of time allocated for your appointment with a GP or nurse. This is to enable them to ensure that they have sufficient time to deal with your problem and record the appropriate information in your medical record. It is envisaged that the extension of appointment times will last for no longer than a few weeks.

The new system is modern, can significantly improve patient care and increase efficiency.

It is our aim to ensure that the change over is as seamless as possible but we would ask that you seek an appointment with the doctor on the 12, 13 and 14 June 2013 only where there is a real clinical need.
